I'm New

We're so glad you're here! Whether you've been part of a church your whole life or this is your very first time walking through the doors, you are welcome at Ascension Lutheran Church. There's no dress code, no secret handshake, and no wrong way to show up. Come as you are.

What to Expect on Sunday

Worship begins at 10:00 AM in the Sanctuary. We follow a liturgical style of worship, which means our service has a beautiful, time-tested rhythm to it. You can expect a blend of scripture readings, hymns, a sermon, prayers, and Holy Communion. Don't worry if the flow feels unfamiliar at first. Everything is printed in the bulletin so you can follow along easily, and the people around you are happy to help.

As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), we are part of a tradition that is deeply rooted in the gospel and always being made new. Lutherans believe that all people are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and that everyone is welcome at the table.

After the service, we invite you to join us for hospitality time in the Fellowship Hall. It's a relaxed chance to grab a cup of coffee, meet some friendly faces, and feel at home.

Families and Kids

We love having children in worship! Nursery care is available each Sunday for our youngest ones. Kids are also always welcome to stay in the service with their families. We are a family-friendly church, and a little noise from little people is music to our ears.

Beyond Sunday

Looking to dig deeper into scripture? Pastor Taylor leads a Bible Study and Brown Bag Lunch every Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the church. No preparation is needed, and newcomers are always welcome.
